How do credits work?
Top up your wallet from the Pricing page (one-time recharges of $10 / $30 / $50 / $100 or a custom amount). Paid chapters cost a fixed number of credits each; once you unlock a chapter it stays yours forever.
Can I read offline?
Currently the site is web-only. Offline reading is planned for the future app.
What languages are available?
English translations with original Chinese text available in the review preview. More languages coming soon.
How do refunds work?
Only unused recharge balance can be refunded — chapters already purchased are cultural content and are not refundable. Request a refund from your Account → Wallet page: there is a 24-hour cooldown after your latest recharge, at least 30% of your recharged balance must remain unused, at most one request per 30 days, and refunds above $100 are reviewed manually. Creem's original processing fee is not returned; the refund itself carries no extra fee.
Where do the stories come from?
Our stories are adapted from classical Chinese texts — Liaozhai Zhiyi, Yuewei Caotang and other ancient tales — reimagined for English readers. Original texts are public domain; our adaptations and translations are original works.
How do I pay?
Payments are processed securely by Creem, our Merchant of Record — credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Alipay (mainland China region).
